King’s College Junior School, Wimbledon

I want all our pupils to look back on their time at King’s College Junior School and answer this question with a resounding ‘yes’. Our teachers work hard to ensure that life here - in the classroom and outside - is stimulating and exciting.

This is why we are looking for children who are bright, curious and interested in the world around them, who can rise to the challenges we offer and have fun.

Education is not just about academic subjects and co-curricular activities - it is also about values. There is a simple saying which contains a great deal of truth: it is nice to be important, but more important to be nice. We want our pupils to be kind, honest, inclusive, patient and brave. The result is excellent relationships between our pupils and those responsible for them.

We have talented pupils, inspiring teachers and first-class facilities but I have no doubt that it is the quality of the relationships which is the defining characteristic of the school. It is a real privilege and a very considerable responsibility to be involved in educating young people.

If you are thinking that we might be right for your child, I hope that this prospectus gives you a flavour of the school and that you will come for a tour. I will be delighted to take you around and give you the opportunity to meet pupils and staff.
