King Henry VIII Schools

King Henry VIII School is an independent co-educational school for children aged 3-18, located on Warwick Road just outside of Coventry city centre.

At King Henry VIII School we are proud of our academic successes, which run alongside our incredible co-curricular programme. This allows our students to engage in sport, music, art, drama, outdoor education and so much more. Our nurturing approach, rich opportunity and mutually supportive diverse community creates students that are friendly and articulate, with the natural self-confidence that equips them well for life in a rapidly changing world.

King Henry VIII Junior is the feeder school for King Henry VIII Senior. We pride ourselves on providing outstanding learning opportunities for all children.  Well-qualified, dedicated and experienced teaching staff deliver a vibrant, diverse and challenging curriculum, which is supplemented with a wide range of co-curricular opportunities, from Music and Drama through to Sport and Outdoor Education.
The Senior School educates children aged 11 to 18 and was established in 1545 by Royal Charter. We provide the educational support and guidance that allows all of our pupils to achieve a greater level of performance than that which they might achieve elsewhere.

Sixth Form: At the heart of our philosophy is the Tutor system. Tutor groups of no more than 14 are led by experienced staff who oversee the day to day progress of their tutees and closely monitor their academic development.

King Henry VIII Sixth Form in Coventry provides an open, friendly environment in which young people flourish. Students grow in independence and leave us with all the skills needed to thrive in higher education and in the wider world.

Above all our Sixth Form is a place where students enjoy their final school years. It is a time of greater independence, challenge and responsibility, for which the rewards are enduring.
General minimum entry requirement: Five GCSE passes at grade 6 or above with a grade 7 preferred in subjects to be studied at A level, and required in certain cases.
