Merchant Taylors’ School

Since its foundation, in 1561, the school has been widely-regarded as one of the best schools in England, providing an all-round education of the highest quality. One of England’s “great nine schools” its reputation today remains that of a “top” boys’ school.

The boys enjoy a superb campus: 280 acres of lakes and countryside. The school is just 30 minutes from central London on the Metropolitan line and 10 minutes from the M1, M25 & M40.
Boys travel in from north London, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Middlesex.

Many take advantage of our coach services from Ealing, Highgate, Radlett, Beaconsfield, Harpenden, Harrow, Mill Hill and Stanmore. In response to increased demand from the Camden, Kilburn, Primrose Hill, St John's Wood and West Hampstead areas, we have launched an additional St John's Wood coach route running up Finchley Road and along Hendon Way to the M1 (average journey time between 50 minutes and 1 hour).

Many travel on the tube or the Chiltern Line from central London, Hampstead, Highgate and Amersham.
