The Perse Upper School, Cambridge

The Perse School is one of the most successful independent day schools in the country. Founded in 1615, Perse provides its mixed cohort with an education that’s both challenging and inspiring. Its prep department is equally reputable, occupying spacious parkland on Trumpington Road in Cambridge.

The Upper is a co-educational day school for pupils aged 11-18 years.

We are a down-to-earth school, shaped by our values and sense of community, with around 1,200 students (including Sixth Form).

We put great emphasis on pastoral care, developing emotional intelligence and wellbeing through a positive peer group culture and first-class teaching.

We encourage students to reflect our school values in every area of their lives. Perse pupils aim high, love learning and care for one another and the environment.

Pupils are encouraged to get involved in a wide range of extra-curricular and pastoral activities which give them a positive educational experience and prepare them for happy and successful adult lives.

Our students are bright and intellectually curious, and they consistently produce many of the best GCSE and A level results in the country.

We encourage our pupils to be committed, well-balanced and kind.
