Francis Holland School - Sloane Square
For almost 150 years, Francis Holland has been educating girls to become confident, curious young women, committed to shaping the world around them. Situated in the heart of London, our school provides an extraordinary experience of community, of learning, of culture – it is a school that is designed for girls, where girls feel known, known to others and to themselves, and are therefore freed to achieve extraordinary things. With a tangible sense of togetherness, our girls learn to take risks and to be fearless. In the last decade, Francis Holland has become a byword for creativity, innovation and enterprise. Renowned for outstanding pastoral care and complemented by the dramatic upward trajectory of our academic performance, we are now the School for developing innovative problem-solvers, talented creatives and eager entrepreneurs. Social justice and proactive care in a fractured world stem from children learning to give and to serve with humility, courage and the determination to make a difference so they can be the game-changers that tomorrow needs. In short, our academic and co-curricular programmes, flexing off a springboard of spiritual care and emotional wellbeing, are developing some of the most extraordinary young women of this generation and it is our privilege to be their guides on this journey. 11+ Assesses London 11+ Consortium - Maths, Problem Solving, English, Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, Analysis (aka Creative Comprehension)

Girls Day School

Godolphin & Latymer School
Godolphin girls are warm, lively and grounded in the real world, achieve excellent GCSE, A Level and IB results, but wear their academic credentials lightly. A wide curricular and extra-curricular programme enriches student life and ensures each individual girl can reach her potential and pursue her interests and passions. We are an academically selective day school for girls aged 11-18; girls sit 11+ entrance examinations and in the Sixth Form can choose to pursue the IB or A Level pathway. At Godolphin, girls freely exchange ideas and opinions and pursue leadership opportunities and positions of responsibility, without any perceived limits or stereotypes. Our pastoral care ensures that each individual girl is known and supported with initiatives that encourage risk-taking, resilience and a belief that nothing is beyond her reach or aspiration. Girls shine as artists, actors, musicians, sportswomen, scientists, entrepreneurs, Arkwright Engineering Scholars, debaters, Gold DofE achievers, COP26 & 27 participants, Biology Olympiads, Green activists and community volunteers. Indeed, a culture of community service permeates the whole school and is underpinned by strong partnerships with local schools and community programmes. In 2018 we launched the Social Impact Awards to encourage students to develop their own sustainable Social Impact projects. We nurture a caring, diverse and inclusive community and our means-tested bursary programme allows us to provide fee assistance for talented girls who otherwise wouldn’t be able to come to the school and who, in turn, enrich school life with their energy and inspiration. 11+ Assesses London 11+ Consortium - Maths, Problem Solving, English, Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, Analysis (aka Creative Comprehension)

Goodwyn School
We have endeavoured to portray ourselves by painting with words and pictures, but realise this can only suggest to you the unique characteristics that make Goodwyn the school it is. There is a certain something about the school that exudes warmth, happiness and wellbeing, which in turn generates confidence. Second generation families return to the school and, on setting foot back inside, instantly remember happy memories of yesteryear. The fact that Goodwyn has endeared itself to so many staff, pupils and parents indicates that we maintained its ethos. Many have contributed towards the school and now others continue to uphold the Goodwyn name. Yes, one must make changes, but we endeavour to maintain the uniqueness that is Goodwyn. We hope you will find we have painted some of that commitment and enjoyment into our picture.

Grimsdell Mill Hill Pre-Prep School
Our aim is to instil in your child a deep and natural love of learning that will stay with them forever. Our curriculum is rich and diverse and extends well beyond the National Curriculum. It is both demanding and exciting, giving your child the chance to excel in so many areas. Girls and boys learn, work and play together and they will quickly develop excellent social skills and learn to be adaptable and emotionally intelligent; making friends with boys and girls and know they are equal. We encourage every pupil to embrace challenge and to understand that success comes from hard work and persistence. At Grimsdell, we welcome failure because only by willing to risk failure do we try things we find difficult. We teach this positive mindset actively so your child will understand how they best learn from a young age. At Grimsdell we teach our themes across the whole school, each year group tackling it in a different way and developing their skills in core subject areas such as reading, writing and arithmetic. We encourage children to question, enquire and problem solve. They work in groups or pairs to discuss, debate and think critically and creatively. They build strong verbal skills so they are keen and able to write about their ideas and thoughts. Practical tasks test their thinking and challenge them to be creative, all the while building their independence and confidence. When young children are encouraged to respect each other and always to see people as individuals, they carry this with them through life. They bring the best out of other people, and blossom themselves because they are ready to seize every opportunity. Our pupils’ willingness to try anything is one of their biggest strengths. Children develop best when their teachers and family work together to help them learn and be happy. We will always keep you well informed about your child’s progress, and welcome you into school whenever you want to talk to their teacher. Your involvement in school events, projects, workshops and trips makes them very special for everyone. The Grimsdell Way At Grimsdell we follow a code called ‘The Grimsdell Way’ wherby children and adults alike are asked to: * Treat others as they would like to be treated themselves * Share * Forgive * Are kind and helpful * Listen to each other * Are honest * Are cooperative * Do their best to be their best and; * Share their worries * Keep yourself and others safe and healthy This allows our children to learn and grown within a community where they can feel safe and secure, have high standards of how they should be treated by others and have high standards of themselves in how they behave towards other people. In this manner we aim to develop confident pupils with positive self-esteem and an outward looking prospective. 4+ Assesses Phase 1 - Play-date style group assessment  Phase 2 - Family assessment: individual pupil assessment with our Early Years Team and an informal interview for the parents, conducted by our Head, Mrs Simon.

Boys Day School

Haberdasher’s Girls’s School
Founded in 1875, Haberdashers’ Girls’ School is a leading independent day school for pupils aged 4 to 18 and our academic results place us amongst the highest ranked schools in the UK.  We provide a challenging, positive, stimulating and secure community in which our students enjoy working hard to fulfil their potential. Enjoying a rural outlook in stunning 100-acre grounds but within easy reach of London, the students have the best of both worlds; regular trips into central London for art, drama and museum visits as well as access to nature and the environment, including our very own Forest School for younger pupils. We are a happy, hardworking, well-focussed community drawn from a diverse range of backgrounds and cultures. We celebrate our traditions as being part of the larger Habs’ family but we are also very proud of our ability to nurture our pupils and prepare them to be active citizens of a global 21st century, meeting the opportunities and challenges it will throw in their way. We have an excellent reputation for the academic attainments of all our pupils but we also believe in the development of the whole person, whether it is excelling in music, sport and drama or simply enjoying participating in them. Charity fund-raising, working with the wider and global community and looking beyond our beautiful campus location are important aspects of the education provided here. One of our unique features is the fact that we are based on the same campus as Habs Boys.  This provides us with the best of both worlds; a single-sex education in a co-educational environment. Our pupils leave to take up places at top universities with many happy memories of their time here, returning later in their careers to support another generation of Habs pupils as they take their next steps into the wider world. 11+ Assesses (Written) English and Maths

Harewood Junior School

Harrow School
In 2022, the School’s 450th anniversary year, Values Commendations Medals were commissioned and awarded to boys for the first time at Speech Day, recognising one boy from each year group who best exemplifies the School’s four values. In a similar vein, Values Commendations are now regularly awarded to boys throughout the year, complementing the School’s existing rewards systems, to highlight moments when a boy has exhibited behaviours aligning with the School’s Values.  The four Values are fully embedded into the School’s Human Resource and recruitment structures. As well as expecting our boys to outwardly reflect the Values, colleagues are expected to exhibit these Values on a daily basis. Appraisal and probationary processes within the School include explicit references to this important area of School life.  Courage encourages us to innovate and take risks, inspiring change for the better. It means challenging adversity and complacency, making the most of opportunities, putting fear of failure to one side and staying the course, even when it is difficult.  The Harrow behaviours associated with Courage are: * We remain optimistic and purposeful in a disrupted world. * We take responsibility for our decisions, even the hard ones. * We always challenge poor behaviour in ourselves and others. * We are open to new ideas and seek fresh challenges. Honour is about doing the right thing, having the highest standards and leading by example. It involves taking responsibility and, ultimately, is what makes us worthy of the trust of others.   The Harrow behaviours associated with Honour are:  * We keep our promises.  * We act with integrity – doing the right thing, even when it is difficult or when no one is watching.  * We respect and value our traditions whilst setting them in the context of today.  Humility asks us to recognise that one's self is a work in progress and that struggling with one's weaknesses is essential to growth. Humility increases our awareness that talent and achievement alone, however impressive, are not sufficient to succeed as a human being – and that none of us is at the centre of the universe.  The Harrow behaviours associated with Humility are:  * We work hard to serve others within the School and across our wider communities where possible putting their interests before our own.  * We give and seek honest and appropriate feedback, reflect on our failures and learn from them.  * We support each other through challenges and whatever the outcome, we celebrate those that took part.  Fellowship means building binding, constructive relationships that help us all to make a positive contribution. This is resonant with our belief that the strongest relationships of all are based on faith, hope and love.  The Harrow behaviours associated with Fellowship are:  * We respect each other and value our differences, knowing that we are more effective and more resilient working together.  * We are kind and inclusive; we value the contribution that each of us makes.  * We role model the behaviours that we would like to see in others; we ask only of others what we would be prepared to do ourselves. Our four Values link closely to our Christian foundation and the principles of ‘Godliness and good learning’ established by our founder, John Lyon. In our context, their meanings are replete with much more than their dictionary definitions, just as the word ‘Harrow’ means more than just a school. Outwardly, they give a sense of the distinctive quality of Harrow School and express what we think is important. A school that values courage, honour, humility and fellowship is a school at its best: one deserving of the name ‘Harrow’ and one to which we aspire.  11+ Assesses in Year 6 for Year 9 entry Stage 1 - ISEB Pretest Stage 2 - 20-minute interview with a House Master, a computerised English, Maths, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning assessment (one hour in total) and a classroom-based group activity (20 minutes)
